Meditations on White Sands New Mexico
Visiting White Sands National Park in New Mexico on the 25th of February 2020 a quiet energy radiated from the white sand dunes. The ‘sand’, uniquely composed of gypsum, was visible as far as the eye can see. With shifting light and wind moving the sand, the dunes were like drifts of snow. Signs of endurance emerged in this difficult environment, perhaps symbolic of this time and lessons of survival over geological time.
